Serious abuses by members of the Customs and Border Protection Office were denounced by a former high-ranking official of that US agency, considered the largest in the country with a total of 45,000 agents.
In an interview with CBS News, James Tomscheck, who served as the agency's head of internal affairs, revealed some of the irregularities. He stated that after reporting several reprehensible acts to his superiors, he received no response and was ultimately forced to resign.
